Health Reset Button – Bone Soup

If you have tried everything, and seem to be stuck in a health rut, where you cannot fix a certain health condition, it could be due to your body incapable of absorbing the nutrition it needs.

Yes, you may be taking those healthy snacks, even making juices of your own with all colors and types of vegetables,  but if you feel you are stuck in a health rut, unable to cure or even improve a health condition, the chances are,  that your digestive system is incapable of absorbing nutrients – why does this occur?

Most of the western diet consists of mixing carbohydrates and protein together, which causes serious digestive problems as one (carbs) requires low acidity to digest, the other requires high acidity to digest, and when you throw them both into your stomach, it will not digest properly, and even damage your ability to absorb nutrients, if done over a long period of time.

So what is the way to reset this damage?

One way is to carry out fasting a few days in a row – this means not eating or drinking for a period of time set by yourself; be honest with yourself, and set yourself a period which is challenging, but attainable. And before you start your fasting, it is vital to have 1 week before the fast begins, where you cut down eating junk food. Fasting during and right after the full moon is ideal, as it accelerates cleaning due to the lunar cycle, but you can fast whenever you feel you are ready.

Please note, if you are seriously weak, and if your body is not ready for a fast, then you should not fast until you are in a better state of health; it is your responsibility to observe your body, and see when you are in a better state of health to practice fasting.

The second way, a powerful way of rejuvenating your body is by bone soup; this is designed to re-build the intestines and allow acid flowing of the stomach to return to normal (which allows your body to re-absorb nutrients it otherwise was not able to absorb fully) – making it an ideal breakfast, as well as something to drink throughout the day – I personally love bone soup and am grateful to have been shared a recipe – it is very easy to make.

Here is the recipe – Credit to Chris Chen and Taylor Chen:  (See NEW post on Bone Soup Recipe here)

Ingredients:
3-4 pounds of Oxtail, or Beef Thigh Bone (Can have meat attached)
Ginger (3 * 4” sections 2mm thick)
Kosher Salt or Mined Salt (no sea salt, no iodized salt)
Onion (1 Whole onion, Thick sliced, Seared in an oven or on a pan)
Scallions (Use the white part of the bulb whole) – Save the stalks for when the broth is prepared.
Sesame Oil (1 Tablespoon – or more)
Apple Cider Vinegar

Preparation:
Bring a pot of water large enough to cover all the bones to a rolling boil, boil all of the bones for 10 minutes. This cleans the scum off the bones.

Dump the water, put the bones in a large stock pot with 6-8 quarts of water. Add ginger, scallion bulbs, onion, and 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar. Bring to a boil, then reduce to simmer.

Boil for 6-8 hours occasionally skimming the fat and scum off the top. Add water as necessary
(Fresh spring water is the best.)

In the last hour add sesame oil and salt to taste. Some people add salt just before eating the soup for max benefits of the salt.

• The soup can be made and boiled down until it is very concentrated and then put in ice cube trays and frozen. The cubes can be stored in a plastic freezer bag and used as bullion. They will keep well for a couple of months as long as the fat is skimmed well.

• The apple cider vinegar is extremely important to help dissolve the calcium from the bones into the solution, don’t forget about it.
