Vegan Vs Meat Eaters – Is there really a right way to eat?

vegainvsmeat

Vegans have started showing up more and more in numbers – it almost seems that people have found a new religion to use as an excuse for an argument or protest – what is the truth behind all this?

Vegan diet is considered a more conscious diet as you eat non-animal products and are meant to be more conscious of the environment and the animals around you – whilst vegan-ism stems from some geniune intention to make the world, and our body a better place to be in – there are some areas you must consider:

– Vegans say that they don’t hurt living things and that is the main reason (at least the few I spoke to) for their diet. This is simply not possible to do if you are alive, you will naturally be hurting and killing life around – even when you take a deep breath, you have just killed billions of life forms in the air.

– New studies have shown plants do have nervous systems, and they can feel pain. So if your a vegan based on the reason you don’t want to hurt living things, then this is heavily flawed.

That said – vegan and a vegerterian diet can be very healthy for some people, and often mind clearing too – but this is not to say meat eating is harmful – in fact, beef protein is the only protein that is most biolavailable to the body, and ideal for recovery and rebuilding strenght (Romans knew this, this is why all gladiators were fed pure beef diet, whilst the rest of Rome was almost vegeterian).

This post is not intended to take sides on vegans or meat eaters – the point to make is that each individual body type is different, and reason for the diet should be more than just saving life of nature (whilstit is important to be conscious of what you are doing), because you simply can’t do that with a diet alone.

There are anemic patients that I have seen, who badly need to eat beef, and it would save their life – but they try to get their protein from beans and think this is the same (and they never recover!) – all they need is 1-6 months protein diet on beef protein, and this restores their blood count very fast.

There are some people who have eaten a lot of deep fried junk in their lives, and are more than healthy in blood count levels – they could do with a vegetarian diet – as this diet will clear their mind, prevent foggy thinking, make them more energetic and less aggressive and even detox their system from a lot of junk – this does not mean its a permanent lifestyle – life is constantly changing, and so are your body’s nutritional requirements – there is no right way – both are right depending on the time and place.
