Recover from Exhaustion in just one meal

recover from exhuastion foods

The fastest way to restore your tiredness using food, is by the legendary (but not so commonly known) as the chicken ginseng and astragalus soup – there are many versions of it, but this specific version is the one that is known for restoring your vitality (you basically feel great after eating), especially if you have been overworking and haven’t been eating the healthiest of foods (nutritionally dense foods) – the coolest thing about it is, its very easy to cook – hard to go wrong in this.

It is a Korean food – so going to this recipe will help you make it in the best way possible – but you need to add one ingredient to make this work more effectively (which the recipe does not talk about) – and it is called Huang Qi, and can be found in asian stores all over the world (and it’s cheap) – more details about this herb located here.

The important ingredients are ginseng (can be in dry form), Jujube berry (2 of them per baby chicken), Huang Qi and the fact that in needs a very low heat, for a long time – you cook it for several hours, even the chicken bone is soft enough to eat!

Obviously there are many types of food out there that can help someone recover from exhaustion – the reason I post about this specific one, as this is as much a medicine as it is a food, and from my experience, it is one of the best foods you can regularly eat.

Food for Younger Skin – Age Reversal (A Study)

food for younger skin

It is well known how food and diet can have a direct effect on how your skin looks and feels – not only that, but how youthful you look overall.

It is possible to maintain and have youthful looks even at a old age – but you need to have dedication and discipline to do so, and it will also reward you with good health too.

If you haven’t been following our blog posts in the past few years, then you should know we have talked about calorie restriction as a method of controlling the aging process.  In Eastern medicine, it is called dampness control, which means you control the rich foods you eat, such as cakes, chocolates and very densely sugary foods.

People often look for food for younger skin, or foods that will help maintain their skin youthfulness – but this is not as simple to explain – you first must watch your calories as a lifestyle – doing too much restriction will also cause aging, as you do need nutrition in your body (obviously) – but you need good quality dense nutrients rather than empty calorie noodles.

In Eastern Medicine, we know that dampness (eating too much) is a major cause of the speed of aging most people in the modern age go through – so the first step in reducing the aging process is reducing calories and increasing nutrient density.

The second step is looking for foods that will work for reducing dampness – and this is very misunderstood in Chinese Medicine, as not all herbs can do this and you cannot just Google what foods do this – we are fortunate enough to have spoken and interviewed a Daoist Medical Doctor, which happen to knew all too well on the best food you can take to reduce and stop dampness.

Looking younger by 10 Years with just 2 Methods

Peach Seed: This is one of the few and rarely understood herbs in the Chinese herbal book which few understand. Of course it isn’t a herb, but a seed – but in Chinese herbology, a lot of weird things are inside the herbal books, which are parts of animals, and end up being referred to as herbs.

peach seed and youthful looks

Peach seed can be purchased anywhere online – and it is the inside part (inside the hard shell) that is what you want – it is very bitter to taste, so you would want to take water with it and swallow a teaspoon 2-3 times a day after a meal – this will not only help bowel movement, but also detox the body, prevent cancer, break down cysts, but also give you that beautiful youthful appearance that you are looking for.

Taking a food such as peach seed is not enough – you also need to take care of your body by movement – exercise – on a daily basis – the body is simply not designed to stay still for longer than 20 minutes at a time – yes, those people working those long office jobs, you are aging yourself faster than you need to – but by working out everyday, even a little, can do wonders for your health, as well as your skin and youthful looks.

Food for Hair Growth – Top 3 Vital Foods for Hair Growth

food for hair growthThere is a whole thing argument about what foods are best for hair growth in men and women – one side talks about certain foods being better, and the vegetarian food eaters talk about the other side.

Unfortunately if you are a vegetarian and are trying to improve hair growth – it will be very difficult to do so, as we require actual animal protein to benefit from increased absorption.

We don’t take sides on what type of diet is best for a human – as this varies by requirements and their end goal – so this we leave to you – but as far as diet for best foods for hair growth, you will definitely have to eat meat, and yes, lean red meat is on the top of the list as follows:

1. Lean Red Meat: This is often misunderstood, but you must be eating enough of this type of meat, ideally from beef, to benefits from increased protein absorption. No, beans do not do the same thing – it is not just the nutrient you want, it is also the energy of that nutrient and how easy it is for the body to make use of it (bioavailability).

2. Biotin: This is already a well known supplement to take for helping with hair growth, but this alone will not do much if you don’t take other foods that have biotin present in it, or at least eat it with a food like red lean meat.

3. Collagen: Whilst this too is not an actual food, but a supplement, it still is vital for hair growth. This can be purchased online from amazon, and is very cheap for the amount you get. The idea is to eat collagen to then break it down in the down, and have the right amino acids in the right ratios, to allow the body to make its own collagen. So the collagen you end up taking is not the same collagen, but supplementing from it, has been found, without doubt, to improve skin and hair at a very fast rate (alarmingly fast!).

Bonus: If you actually start to do scalp massage on a daily basis, this will boost your hair growth to phenomenal rates. Especially when done at a daily rate – see this article for more information on other ways to naturally thicken hair. It explains the other things you can do to help hair growth, thicker or increasing the speed at which the hair grows.

Healing with Food: Bone Broth

bone soup reciepe

There are only a few foods that have stood the test of time for their properties for healing and renewing the body – As you already know, I have talked about the power of bone soup in my previous article “Health Reset Button – Bone Soup“.

So if you haven’t read the previous post, please do read it, as it covers some basics on bone soup. For benefits of bone soup, there are countless, from beauty to faster recovery time when sick; it also renews your stomach and helps heal ulcers in the stomach. There are endless benefits, and on top of that, it actually tastes very yummy!

Since my last post, many of you have asked me for more details on the recipe (which is vital, if you want the legendary healing of the food, and not just as a food to eat) and although I gave a general idea on its basics and what you really need, I want to introduce you to the most powerful recipe book you can own, and it’s called Bone Deep Broth: Healing Recipes with Bone Broth by Taylor Chen and Lya Mojica – it was just launched recently (Jan 7th 2016).

You can buy the book at Amazon here for my UK readers; for US Readers, you can go to the US Amazon. The book covers aspects that I did not cover, and are important if you want to use bone soup in many ways – for kids and adults, and variations of the original recipe, whilst keeping the main healing properties you need to have to get the benefits.

Making bone soup is easy, but there are various aspects of cooking which this book covers that are not always understood, and they are assumed you already know them (but many don’t know them) – some people refer to them as secrets of cooking; things like adding salt just before eating the soup, rather than during cooking or serving makes a huge difference in healing properties of the soup and gaining benefits from the salt for your health.

In case you’re wondering, it’s related to the salt attaching itself to the impurities in the food instead of being used to detoxify your body (yes Salt is powerful – See article here on “12 Reasons Salt makes you Invincible“). To conclude, you can have bone soup everyday, and get all the nutrients you need, THAT is how nutrient dense it is – what are you waiting for? Go buy some high quality organic grass fed bones and get cooking!
